**LCAS Safeguarding Course – Online | 18th March | 7pm–10pm**

Lincolnshire County Archery Society is pleased to announce an upcoming online safeguarding course, open to members across the county and beyond!

Date: Wednesday 18th March

Time: 7:00pm – 10:00pm

Location: Online Classroom

FREE places are available for the following roles if they are due a renewal:

Lincolnshire Coaches
Club Welfare Officers
Club Chairs

Not in one of those roles, or outside of Lincolnshire? You're still very welcome to join us!

Cost for all others: £20

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility in our sport, and we encourage as many members as possible to keep their training up to date.

Join us for the Lincolnshire County Archery Society equipment sale! This is the perfect opportunity to clear out your kit bag or find that piece of gear you’ve been looking for.

Date: Sunday, 12th April Location: Lincoln Archers, Washingborough Pavilion Time: 10:00am - 4:00pm

Shooting Available:

Time: 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Cost: £5 per archer

Sellers & Clubs: Tables are FREE for archers and clubs wanting to sell equipment! You must register in advance to secure your spot. Register for a table below

Barry Molsom - Ron Smith Memorial Trophy

On the 9th July, Barry Molsom was presented with the EMAS Ron Smith Memorial Trophy for recognition pf his on going hard work and dedication to archery.

If you know anyone who you think deserves this trophy, then please submit your nomination to the EMAS secretary when the form is sent round to the clubs at the next EMAS AGM.

Congratulations to Sam Newton of Silver Spoon Bowmen who has been chosen for the Archery GB team for the World Transplant Games in Germany in August, and also has the honour of being captain of the team. Sam has a go fund me page if anyone would like to help support .

Team Composition for 7 ^th September 2025:

Group decision after short discussion is as follows:

Recurve: 5 Men and 4 Women with 4 & 3 to count

Compound: 3 Men and 2 Women " 2 & 1 "

Longbow: 2 Men and 1 Woman " 1 & 1 "

Barebow: 3 Men and 2 Women " 2 & 1 "

It was also decided for this year that each discipline could have one 50+ archer (either man or woman), it was agreed that this would be Optional.

Deadline for entries to be sent to the TO of Bowmen of Rutland is: Sunday 24 ^th August 2025.

Can I say a big thank you for your enthusiasm and team effort at yesterday’s Thoresby shoot. It was a very hot day and it was obvious that some of us are sun worshippers and others struggle with the heat. I hope you have all cooled down, possibly with the assistance of a beer or 2.

Special well done to Roger for his LCAS record breaking shoot, never lets us down.

Captain of the Sword ( highest scoring recurve)
was Ian Macrae, the highest scoring compound trophy was won by a lady for the first time by Julie Almond with two new county records, husband Kenny Almond won the Gents Compound, Ioan Macrae won the junior gent compound. All from Silver Spoon Bowmen. Michael Wilritch AGB Direct won the gents barebow.

We had archers from out of the county all of whom medalled in their own discipline

A lovely day with a tricky wind.

Success For The Juniors

Ours juniors shot in the Sydney Bond yesterday.

It was success in the boys compound team where Oscar and Ewan won the team trophy.

Oscar also won the boys individual.

Holly came first for the girls recurve.
