Information coming after the meeting

Quest for Gold (Lincolnshire Sports Partnership)

I am pleased to say that the Lincolnshire Quest for Gold website is now fully live and can be at www.lincolnshiresports.com/questforgold.

Quest for Gold is a local version of the national Gold Challenge which offers participants the opportunity to part take and/or volunteer at all the Olympic and Paralympic sports across the county. So far there are 52 opportunities to access across Lincolnshire and we really hope this increases as the project goes on.

The programme is free for clubs/leisure providers to register with and costs £5 for participants to sign up, all of which can be done on the website. If you would like to find out which of your clubs have registered to be part of the programme please email me directly?

I know that not every NGB can be included this time due to restraints around the Olympic sports, however it would be still useful to look at the initiative as we are hoping to do something similar for all sports next year.

Sport Makers
------------
As part of the 2012 Legacy programme, Sport England is developing a project called Sport Makers. We have to inform Sport England if, as a sport, we would like to be involved and we are requesting your input in making our decision.

Sport Makers is about recruiting volunteers to help sport at a grassroots level. It is about recruiting those over 16 to help get more adults involved in sport. We need to put forward our suggested way in which our sport could use new volunteers. Could your club/county use more volunteers put on more archery? If you think these new volunteers could help and you would like to be involved in the Sport Makers project please let us know. (We would like a quick, non-committal response before Thursday 14th June, if possible).

Facilities Strategy
-------------------
Today we posted up on our website our Facilities Strategy brief and consultation. We would like as many CDCs and clubs to complete the simple consultation as possible, so that we shape our new strategy. So, if you have any facility issues or ideas, please complete the consultation. Details: http://www.archerygb.org/ArcheryGB/index.cfm/development/facility-development-strategy

New schools project
-------------------
We are currently busy creating some new resources to make it easier to take archery into school settings. One aspect of the resources is some modified equipment. To find out more visit - http://www.archerygb.org/ArcheryGB/index.cfm/development/schools-support/archery-in-your-school/development-of-new-programme/

2011 Development Conference
